HOMEOPATHY FAQs

  • Homeopathy is a natural, holistic therapy based on the principle of "like cures like," meaning a substance that causes symptoms in a healthy person can be used in diluted form to treat similar symptoms in someone unwell. Homeopathy focuses on stimulating the body’s natural healing responses and addressing the individual’s physical, mental, and emotional health.

  • Homeopathy can be used for a wide range of conditions, from short-term issues like colds, bruises, and sprains, to chronic conditions such as migraines, digestive issues, or anxiety. It supports the body’s natural defences and can complement conventional treatments.
Read more on our Homeopathy page under the “Our Services” tab.

  • First of all, it is very important to complete the pre-consultation questionnaire sent with your appointment confirmations. Be ready to discuss your symptoms, medical history, lifestyle, and emotional wellbeing.

During your consultation our homeopath, Rebecca, will ask questions to explore the answers you have provided in your questionnaire. You will do most of the talking until Rebecca has sufficient information to make recommendations and can develop the most effective treatment plan for you.

  • A naturopath will primarily provide higher concentrations of substances derived from plants: herbal teas, capsules, tinctures, ointments. A naturopath will recommend herbs known to counteract the symptoms a person reports such as anti-pyretics for a person with a fever. A homeopath will learn the unique character of a person's fever in order to find the substance that could produce similar fever symptoms in healthy individuals.

  • The response to homeopathy varies depending on the individual and their condition. Acute conditions may improve quickly, while chronic issues might take more time. Rebecca will discuss this during your initial consultation.

  • Tissue salts are homeopathic mineral compounds designed to support cellular health. They are gentle remedies that help restore balance in the body and are suitable for addressing physical, mental, and emotional symptoms.

  • Prescribed products are sold separately and can be purchased at the end of the consultation.

During our acute conditions consultation, our homeopath will have a number of remedies with her to provide you with a small number of first aid doses until she has the opportunity to prepare your prescription.

  • Our homeopath, Rebecca, can create custom tissue salt blends, flower essences formulas, homeopathic remedies and homeopathic first aid kits tailored to your needs.
Rebecca prepares homeopathic remedies under strict homeopathic pharmaceutical guidelines.

Depending on the individual requirements, our homeopath will prescribe recommended remedies and will prepare them within a set time frame for later collection in clinic.
Visit our Homeopathy page under “Our Services” for more information.

  • Whether you take homeopathic remedies in liquid or sucrose pillule form is a matter of personal preference. Each sucrose pillule has been coated with drops from the same liquid stock bottles which are used to make personal 1-drop, dropper or spray bottles. Our homeopath, Rebecca, will demonstrate different dosing techniques for those who are unfamiliar with these complementary medicines.

  • Currently, homeopathy is considered an alternative therapy and is not covered by Medicare or most private health insurance plans in Australia.

  • Yes, homeopathy can complement conventional treatments. Always inform both your homeopath and doctor about the treatments you are using to ensure safe and effective care.
